Ady Elzam (33) is an artist, dancer, improviser, teacher, explorer and student of movement. He started dancing at age 10 in the Israeli folklore dance school "The Iris of Nazareth" and continued to explore the folklore dance until 2005 when he dedicated himself to the art of contemporary dance and performance.
Ady trained at the "Modern Dance Academy" in Haifa and continued to dance for two years in "Vertigo Dance Company" and one year at "DeDe Dance" company, he worked with different choreographers such as Ofra Idel, Elad Shecter, Rina Vertheim, Matan Levkowich, Yuval Goldshtain, Sharona Floreshaim and many more….
Ady is teaching Contact Improvisation for the last 6 years in Israel and around the world (this passing year: Aug.-Malmo, Spt.-Dec.- Israel, Jan-Mar.-India, April-Japan, May-South Africa, June-Latvia..)
And also producing two big festivals, the Israeli Contact Improvisation festival and ImproJunction (a performance festival).
Ady's teaching is influenced by the flow of unknowing, his teachers are Rina Vertheim, Alex Shmorak, Anjelika Dony, Arya Burshtein, Martin Keogh, Daniel Lepkoff, Ilan Lev and many more, but the most he learns from his students.
This days Ady is focusing mainly on CI and physical improvisation / performance.
