Tim O'Donnell is a New York based dance artist, who has been teaching, performing and making dance in the United States, Mexico and Europe at various universities and festivals. He found CI as a contemporary dancer in 1995 at the West Coast Contact Improv Festival and the form has been an intimate part of his life ever since. The foundation of his practice is strongly rooted in a deep physical listening, a sense of adventure and an embodied abandon. He studied Ideokinesis under the tutelage of Pamela Matt, and has also studied Structural Integration with Neil Powers. He holds an MFA in Dance and has maintained a private practice in therapeutic bodywork and somatic movement since 1991. Currently, he is on faculty at Movement Research in NYC where he resides and guest faculty at Arizona State University.
