Eeva-Maija is a folk singer and songwriter from Finland. Her musical background is in various groups and projects from eclectic improvisation group to Finno-Ugric folk song. At the moment she is studying to become a voice teacher in folk music department of the Karelia university of applied sciences in Joensuu, Finland.
I have been especially interested in voice as a tool for healing and self-exploration. I find singing a powerful way to get a connection to your own energy and feel how it interacts with the world around us.
In the In touch -festival I will be creating a space for the singing circle. Singing together is a simple, beautiful way to share the energy trough sound and let the vibrations nourish us, to find a connection to our bodies and our unique ever-changing voices.
