Bodysurfing – where softness and power meet

In this class we look at the basic principles of bodysurfing. In solo work we soften our bodies and let go of unnecessary tension whilst raising soft power from the core. In partner exercises we practice different ranges of giving and receiving weight as well modulating our body tone according to the circumstances. Separating and rejoining of the three main body masses – head, rip basket and pelvis - helps us to find sequential soft movement on one hand and enough strength to support another body on the other hand. By engaging different body surfaces we widen our range of possibilities for moving together on the floor level. A state of sensitive listening helps us to clearly understand the proposed directions of the shared dance.

Everybody is welcome.
